Navigating with Confidence: Obstacle Detection, Object Recognition and Scene Description

At Mavis Technologies, our smart glasses bring together three capabilities that work in combination to help blind and partially sighted users navigate and understand their surroundings with greater confidence: obstacle detection, object recognition and scene description.

Obstacle detection alerts the wearer to objects and changes in terrain in their path. Object recognition identifies items around them, while scene description provides a spoken summary of what is in view. Used together, these features give users a fuller, real-time understanding of their environment.
