Start Up Day 2024

Many of us have brilliant ideas for businesses that we haven’t acted on and the Business & IP Centre National Network have a wealth of resources to support and inspire budding entrepreneurs to take the first step to turning their brilliant idea into a business.

Activities on the day include talks and networking to help you on the way with your business journey. Complimentary professional headshots will also be available.

• 9.30 – 9.50am: Networking and refreshments
• 9.50 -10.00am: Introduction speech with Cllr Daniel Lister
• 10.00 – 10.45am: How to succeed in business – Hannah Brady of Brady Creative
• 11.00 – 11.45am: Start-up Stars – How I turned my business idea into reality – panel session of 3 BIPC Northamptonshire grant winners being interviewed by Ruth Roan of the South Midlands Growth Hub. Grant winners include: David Sikharulidze – Mavis Technologies, Laura Howard – Laura’s Seating Solutions and Vicky Skinner – Animal Focused
• 12.00 – 12.30pm: Lunch
• 12.30 – 13.15pm: How to start a business and maintain your sanity – Rob Harrison of Glued
• 13.30 – 14.15pm: How to create a standout logo for your business – Trudie Avery the Logo Lady
• 12.30 – 13.15pm: Marie-Louise O’Neill of Lovely Evolution will be delivering a mini workshop around ‘Getting Known’.
